Eeuwig – An introduction

Forged in the isolation of the Dutch lockdowns, Eeuwig emerged from Arnhem in 2022 as a dark and atmospheric new force in European metal.

Conceived by Jeroen van Riet (ex-Dead End, My Favorite Scar), the project took shape when he invited Ronald Stempyn (ex-Dead Bolt, Deem Index) to bring his voice to the unfolding vision.

Blending the weight of doom, the aggression of black and death metal, and the shadows of classic rock and new wave, Eeuwig draws inspiration from giants such as At The Gates, Paradise Lost, Mastodon, Bathory,  Converge, The Ocean, Joy Division, Pantera, Mitski, Chelsea Wolfe, Oceansizeand Candlemass.

Their music paints a bleak and captivating soundscape: harsh screams intertwined with clean male and female vocals, crushing riffs, and soaring lead melodies. It is the first chapter of a band that refuses to fit into a single genre—driven instead by atmosphere, emotion, and eternal heaviness.

A striking presence in the band is Mist, the 17-year-old daughter of Van Riet, whose distinctive voice gives Eeuwig an unmistakable and refreshing edge.

Eeuwig features three vocalistsStempyn (vocals), Van Riet (vocals & guitar), and Mist (vocals)—creating a dynamic and layered vocal palette that sets the band apart.

In 2025, Eeuwig is working feverishly toward their full-length debut album and has expanded its lineup with several seasoned musicians: Rutger van Noordenburg (ex-Pestilence, Shinigami, Radiathor) – guitar, Daan Janzing (ex-My Favorite Scar, ex-Maiden United) – guitar and Bart van Unen (Sundowner, Enfer) – bass.

With this strengthened formation, Eeuwig stands ready to carve its place in the European metal landscape—heavier, darker, and more ambitious than ever.
